WHY USE TRADITIONAL CLADDING SYSTEMS?
TIER® Traditional Cladding Systems are typically custom-designed or tailor-made restraint ties created for the specific purpose of securing stone cladding, copings and other elements.
When securing any form of Ashlar, usually, each stone requires four restraints for secure positioning, two at the top of the stone panel and two at the bottom, usually placed within the horizontal joints. These restraints should be positioned within pre-formed mortises or holes centred on the thickness of the stone panel, and maintaining a minimum distance of 75mm from any stone corner is essential, and the spacing between any two restraints should not exceed 1200mm along the perimeter.
